The oak-paneled room goes quiet when he steps in, a spark of rhubarb and pineapple cuts the air before bergamot settles it back into order, and everyone recalibrates.
It opens tart and unexpected: rhubarb and pineapple laced with bergamot, a citrus-fruit jolt that reads confident rather than sweet. The heart turns powdery and warm, iris and jasmine softened by a pinch of paprika, an unusual spice that adds friction beneath the florals. Then the base takes over: Virginia cedar, cinnamon, and oakmoss deepen into amber, vetiver, styrax, French labdanum, and vanilla, a rich oriental-fougère dry-down built to hold the room.
Built for the man who commands attention without raising his voice, boardrooms, black-tie dinners, and the kind of fall or winter evening that calls for something with weight. At 30% oils in an Extrait concentration, it opens sharp and settles, equally at home in a Tuesday negotiation or a Saturday gala.
Hand-poured in small batches in Richardson, TX as an Extrait de Parfum, 30% fragrance oils versus the 15-20% typical of an Eau de Parfum, so a little goes a long way.
