You slide a piece of loukhoum onto your tongue before it's fully unwrapped, rosewater and sugar dissolving slow, petitgrain and neroli lifting green and citrus-clean just above it, like someone cracked a window over a candy dish left too long in the sun.

Neroli and petitgrain open cool and green, a citrus hush that never quite warms before loukhoum settles in underneath, rosewater and sugar, powdery and pale, the kind of sweetness passed hand to hand rather than poured. Vanilla pools thick and unhurried as it dries down, patchouli grounding it in soft earth, musk smoothing every edge until it reads as skin rather than scent.

Wear it on afternoons that slide into evenings, when the plan is closeness rather than entrance, the person near enough to notice how the rosewater fades into vanilla across a whole day and into the night, at home in the low light of fall and winter romance.
