PARADOXE

A pear left on the windowsill catches the last of the afternoon, bruised gold at the edges, sweetness just starting to turn. Tangerine peel curls beside it, bergamot cutting clean through the warmth. Nothing here asks to be noticed, and yet the whole room leans toward the counter.

Pear opens soft and slightly bruised, with tangerine and bergamot keeping it from turning too sweet too fast. The heart settles into a hushed white-flower hush, orange blossom, neroli essence, neroli, and jasmine sambac layered like petals pressed between pages. Underneath, bourbon vanilla, amber, white musk, and benzoin build a low, resinous warmth that lingers on skin for hours after the florals have quieted.
