Lapsang souchong tea accord opens dry and smoky, closer to a campfire kettle than a teacup. Jasmine absolute blooms against it, indolic and full, and the contrast is the whole point. Vanilla extract pools underneath, thin and dark rather than dessert-sweet, and carries the smoke out.
